Ángeles Sirvent Ramos is professor in French Philology at the University of Alicante since 1997. She has been member of the CEM of this university from its creation in the year 1997-8. She has taken part in various research projects and she is member of different committees of literary scientific reviews. She has conducted the Doctorate Programme of "Mediterranean Languages and Cultures Multi-disciplinary Studies" and of "Gender Multi-disciplinary Studies" (2003-5).
She has supervised five PhD theses on various aspects of French and gender literature, and she has organised, twice a year, the Seminar "Woman-Literature" ("Mujer-Literatura") since 1997.
Mrs. Sirvent has been vice-president of the APFFUE (Spanish University Association of French Philology Professors) from 2003 to 2010 and, in January 2010, she has been appointed "Knight of the Order of Academic Palms" ("Chevalier(e) de l'Ordre des Palmes Académiques") by the French Ministry of Education and Research. She was given her 4th research work in 2012. .
Her publications focus on different aspects of French and gender literature and literary theory, among which we can underline Roland Barthes. De las críticas de interpretación al análisis textual (1989), La teoría textual barthesiana (1992), various Works in co-edition, such as Espacio y Texto en la cultura francesa (2006), in three volumes, as well as a number of studies on different French male and female writers like Marie de Gournay, Olympe de Gouges, Manon Roland, Delphine de Girardin, Mme de Staël, Nathalie Sarraute or Hélène Cixous.
