Silvia Caporale Bizzini

Profile

Silvia Caporale Bizzini is Professor of English Studies at the University of Alicante English Philology department. She has carried out her pre-doctoral research in the universities of Oxford (1992), Colleraine (1992), Sheffield (1995) and she has been visiting lecturer at the University of Pittsburgh in 1996, at the University of York (Toronto, Canada) in 2003 and 2004; she has also made her research in Toronto (2012 and 2014) and in Montreal (2015). Her academic interest and research work focuses on literature in English language written by women from the 19th to the 21st century, the theory of space, the concept of transnational literature in the immigration fiction, and the concept of intersectionality in gender and feminist studies.
